This policy covers lunchorder.ie and hotlunch.ie, run by 24 Hosting (Innovative Learning Solutions Ltd, CRO 460035, Platform94, Mervue Business Park, Galway H91 D932, Ireland). Each caterer's own ordering site (for example name.hotlunch.ie) has its own privacy policy - there the caterer is responsible for parents' and children's information and we process it for them.
What we keep and why
- Sign-up form: business name, your name, email, phone, number of schools and pupils, your message - to contact you about Lunch Order. Legal basis: steps you asked us to take before a contract. Deleted after 2 years if you don't become a customer.
- Caterer accounts: names, email addresses and log-in records of the people who use the back office - to provide the service and invoice it, and for security.
- Server logs: IP address, time and page requested, kept for up to 30 days to keep the service secure.
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking, and we don't sell or share information for marketing.
Where it's stored
On 24 Hosting's servers in the European Union (Hetzner data centres in Germany and Finland, including backups). Fonts and all other files come from our own server - no third-party services see your visits.
How long we keep it
- Accounts: until you close them (ask us), or after 2 school years without any orders.
- Orders: for the current and the previous school year (invoices and the Hot School Meals scheme may need them), then deleted or anonymised.
- Backups roll over within 3 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or download your information, or object to how it's used, or withdraw consent for allergy information at any time. Most of it you can change yourself under My children. Contact helpdesk@24.ie.
If you're unhappy with how your information is handled you can complain to the Data Protection Commission: www.dataprotection.ie.
